Sr. Ma. Famita N. Somogod, MSM
Sister Fam is a religious nun of the Missionary Sisters of Mary (MSM) for 19 years now. Her lowly roots brought her in the service of the downtrodden, and has been a staunch defender of indigenous people's rights having served as the coordinator of the Indigenous Peoples' Apostolate of the MSM for more than a decade. She is an educator by profession, having a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education, and is now currently taking-up MA in Educational Management.
Sr. Mary Jane Caspillo, MMS
Sister Jane is a council member of the Philippine Province of the congregation of the Medical Mission Sisters (MMS). With her religious community stationed at the heart of the Province of Bukidnon where global land grabbing is a phenomenal occurence attacking rural communities, she has been active in assisting campaigns of the farmers and indigenous peoples in the recent years.
Coming from a family of poor farmer, Tenioso is into community organizing for around ten years, and is responsible in organizing scores of community-based organizations, in sound campaigns on production, and in assisting various socio-economic projects for farmers' organizations and fisherfolks in Misamis Oriental. He served as community organizer for the Mindanao Farmers' Resource Center since 2003 before becoming a member of RMP-NMR on October 2006. He is serving in the Sub-Regional Coordinating Body since April 2008.
Rev. Fr. Jonecito Saguban, TOR
Father Jon is a founding member of RMP-NMR and served as Coordinator from July 2010 up to June 2012. A creative writer by heart, he has published books and other literary works in local tounge, tackling the the daily struggles of the common folks. Recently, he has been elected as the Philippine Superior of the Franciscans Third Order Regular's (TOR) Province of St. Francis of Assisi.
